Today on 23rd February 2024, we conducted State level seminar to share learnings & experiences of improving nutrition & early childhood development #ECD through community #crèches and Participatory Learning & Action meetings.
Director,Women & Child Development Jharkhand,representatives from civil society organisations & crèche workers with community members participated & shared their insights. Director sir spoke about importance of convergence with key stakeholders for overall development of children.
Crèche worker nicely explained importance of physical-mental and social well-being through songs,dance & plays with providing clean & hygienic environment through crèche. A mother caregiver shared how she can now manage her work stress-free after crèche opened in her village.Experts on #ECD from Ummeed organisation who helped us training in measurements of cognitive development indicators of children spoke about integrating ECD early on to get the maximum benefit for growing children.
